Wittenbach Business Systems (WBS) joins forces with Bank Equipment Consulting (BEC)
Wittenbach Business Systems has expanded into the Mid-West! We are very excited to announce WBS has joined forces with Bank Equipment Consulting, Inc. (BEC) and their security monitoring company Bank Guard Security Systems, Inc. effective December 18, 2017. This will give WBS a market reach that includes Pittsburgh, Northwest Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

United Bank Has Awarded WBS a Three Year Service Contract.
United Bank has awarded WBS a three year contract for their office locations, 160 branches and drive-thru facilities, and multiple off-site ATMs. WBS will service both conventional branch and electronic security equipment for United Bank. United Bank has been open since 1839 and employs over 2,400 people.

Frederick County Bank Has Awarded WBS a Two Year Service Contract.
Frederick County Bank has awarded WBS a two year contract to maintain their cash handling, physical and electronic security equipment. Frederick County Bank is an independently owned community bank founded in 2001. Today, FCB has locations throughout the Frederick area and has become an integral part of the community, supporting charities, non-profit organizations and programs through donations, sponsorship and FCB employee volunteerism.

M&T Bank Awards WBS and BSS a Three Year Service Contract
M&T Bank has awarded WBS a three-year contract for service of their conventional branch equipment. WBS is partnering with Brown Security Services (BSS) in New York for complete coverage of the M&T Bank footprint. M&T is one of the 20 largest US headquartered commercial bank holding companies, and has over 700 branches throughout New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Today marks the 40th Anniversary of Wittenbach Business Systems
WBS was started on June 2, 1974 by Roger Wittenbach who left Michigan with his young family to come to Baltimore, MD as a district manager for the Brandt company selling coin and currency equipment. Roger started the business with a $5,000 cash advance on his American Express credit card and a single employee who handled the service side of the business while Roger focused on sales. Forty years later WBS employs nearly 200 people, carries a full line of cash handling and security products and serves over 700 customers in 12 states throughout the mid-atlantic and southeast.

Wittenbach Named Top Hamilton Safe Dealer for the Past 3 Years
WBS received the award for the Highest Volume Channel Partner for the past 3 years at the Hamilton Safe Dealer Meeting last week in Ohio. This is a tremendous accomplishment for WBS, a major milestone for our partnership with Hamilton Safe and shows how far we have come since entering the conventional bank equipment market in 2002.

WBS Web Portal Adds Enhanced Reporting Module
This weekend WBS launched a new on-line reporting module for our customers and our first user said it is “absolutely fantastic – we love it!” We named it COIN – the Customer On-line Information Network. Customers can now run a variety of historical reports on service calls, or obtain information on warranty dates and equipment condition.

Wittenbach Business Systems Acquires Frank Connell Associates
On February 28th WBS signed an agreement to acquire Frank Connell Associates (FCA). FCA is a Glory dealer owned by Frank Connell and headquartered in East Rutherford, NJ. FCA has accounts in northeastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey and New York. Frank will be retiring after 50 years in business. He has our congratulations and best wishes. Brian Connell will join the WBS sales team and his territory will include New Jersey and Philadelphia. Brian has been with FCA for 23 years. Joe Orr and Steve Chesney and will join the northern service team and continue to cover the FCA accounts in Northern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Joe has been with FCA for 35 years and Steve for 30 years.

David Kot Becomes a Minority Owner of Wittenbach Business Systems
Effective October 1st, David Knot to become a minority owner of Wittenbach Business Systems. Dave joined WBS on February 14, 2011 as Chief Operating Officer. On January 1, 2013 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and President. Roger Wittenbach stated, “I have an enormous amount of confidence and trust in Dave which brought me to the decision to sell part of the company to him. His decision to purchase shows his commitment and confidence in the future of WBS.”

Wittenbach Opens New Operations Center
Wittenbach opened a new Hunt Valley Operations Center (HVOC) on April 12th that has 25,000 square feet of Class A office and warehouse space. In addition to traditional warehouse space the facility has a training center, offices and a state-of-the-art Technical Support Department where skilled bench technicians are able to handle everything from minor repairs and refurbishing to complete equipment restoration.
